Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This product is an online 'dating' service for South Asians, and is predicated on a model which helps people connect with the 'real thing' (a person one would seriously explore getting to know in order to settle down with rather than a frivolous relationship). But the approach taken is playful & fun.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

We are interested in exploring the use of a cute animal as our brand mascot. An inspiration is hipmunk.com. We are open to any animal which is depicted in a way which works for a dating website. A hummingbird is one which comes to mind first. But we would like to give the designer the creative liberty to design the logo any which way they like - with animal logo or without, as long as the logo is vibrant, fun, youthful, but conveys a site which promotes serious connections.
a) use vector images
b) no 'swooshes' please .. a la Nike
c) obviously no stock art
d) not be overly complex - simplicity is desired
e) logo should look good even if viewed in one tone - grey
f) font choice is crucial.
