Our retail store is a high end men's denim/contemporary clothing store serving an affluent audience aged between 25-55. The name Rye 51 is a take off american whiskey rye which must have 51% rye mash and thus the name Rye 51. We feel this american whiskey connotation relates well to the audience we serve. The store will have a very masculine appeal with reclaimed whiskey barrel planks as the flooring, taxidermy & bull skulls on the walls and cast iron fixtures and displays. The pictoral part of the logo should include 2 key elements: 1) clothing (sewing machine, needle & thread etc) & 2) Whiskey (whiskey barrell, whiskey bottle, or anything else that relates to whiskey). The key would be to combine these elements into a very classy, refined, elegant logo that speaks to our affluent demographic. The name itself, Rye 51 needs to be presented in a font that matches everything describes above. It might be cool to have the name appear in a whiskey label format.
Our slogan will be "textile distillery".
Some brand logos i like are:
All Saints Spitalfields - I like font and their skull logo
Brooks Brothers - sheep logo is nice as reference to wool
Scotch and Soda - Nice simple old school sewing machine
