Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Oxford Community Energy Co-operative is a newly formed renewable energy co-operative that will participate in a wind park development in the County of Oxford in South Western Ontario. We are seeking to attract members and investors to the co-op from this County which is mostly agricultural. The County has a geographical triangle of three small cities Tillsonburg, Ingersoll, and Woodstock, all of which are host to either large car manufacturing or a wind turbine blade plant. The cities and the rural municipalities have embraced renewable energies to various degrees, but are not specifically renowned for environmental progressiveness. The Co-op is formed to allow the residents of Oxford County to participate and co-own the wind farm, and to mobilize the people to become more interested and invested into renewable energy and energy matters in their communities. The logo must thus embrace the values of community, renewable energy, environmental responsibility and rural prosperity and growth.
