I’m super excited to take this next big step in my professional growth. Rowen Communications is the culmination of years of study and work, so I’m hoping that my logo captures the joy and excitement I feel when I help women accomplish their communications and marketing goals.
I would like the logo to reflect my target audience. Women who work in fitness or who compete in fitness competitions are feminine but strong and dedicated. I want a design that appreciates the strength of women but that isn't overly feminine. For this reason, I would prefer to avoid use of the colors pink and purple. I generally prefer more neutral tones. I’ll be using the logo on many paper products (letterhead, powerpoint slides), so having a white background would be strongly preferred.
I love fonts and script/calligraphy that looks organic or antique. My personal aesthetic is minimalistic, simple, yet elegant. I suppose the best way I can describe what I’m looking for is Boston finance, but at after work drinks. If that’s confusing, think of a girl who wears pearls to work, but is always game for a beer pong match.
My name (Rowen) is very important to me. Rowen is a derivation of rowan, which is a type of tree that grows in Ireland. I don’t necessarily need to have a tree in the design, but I like the idea of growth, roots, and seeds – development in general.
