Midlift Crisis got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Help me create a playful, easily graspable logo for a website about what it means to become strong!
Check out Midlift Crisis's Logo design contest…
I am a writer/journalist (The New York Times, Men’s Health, The Huffington Post, and elsewhere) and an avid amateur powerlifter. The MIDLIFT CRISIS website (midliftcrisis.com) will feature original articles on strength training, powerlifting, and weightlifting, and interviews with world-class strength athletes, coaches, and psychologists exploring what it takes to develop strength in all senses of the word. The target audience will be both men and women of all ages, although primarily 18-50, I imagine.
Other color requirements

A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Midlift Crisis collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
