Help Make 1st Annual "Love Your Pet Day" Block Party A Success!

This logo is for an annual event to celebrate the announcement of "Alexandria Love Your Pet Day" by the Alexandria city coucil/mayor's office. Local businesses will host a kick-off event, food trucks, and interactive tables/tents along the block party route to engage the city’s pet lovers. At each stop, participants will perform an activity or learn a fact in order to receive a stamp in their passport -- the first 100 completed passports can be turned in for a bag full of gifts from participating businesses. The kick off will feature a ceremonial “Alexandria Love Your Pet Day” proclamation and ribbon cutting, opening onto the block party route with a schedule of engaging activities (e.g. nose work, freestyle dance, K9 officer demo, grooming tips, etc.). Food vendors, area non-profits, business association representatives & others will also take part in this lively community event. This event is being hosted by 5 local pet businesses (see flyer attached) who provide services to the pet lover community in Alexandria. Our target audience is people who love and take good care of their pets and enjoy taking them with them to events. In Alexandria, these are typically affluent young professionals, families, and empty nesters with disposable income to spend on pet services like grooming, daycare, training, agility classes, etc.

If possible, we would like to incorporate key colors from the 5 host business logos (see attached file) -- orange from the Dogtopia logo, purple from the Frolick Dogs logo, pink from the Pinnacle logo, blue from the VCA logo, and dark green from Wholistic Hound. Also, we are trying to be inclusive of all pets -- dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc. -- so if the logo could incorporate this somehow that would be great. For example, it could incorporate animal tracks of all kinds (paws, bird feet, snake track) or a variety of pet accessories (leash, pet bowl, bird cage, terrarium, etc.) Note that in event posters the 5 organizing business logos will likely be displayed alongside the logo, so would be great if they were visually compatible.
