How boswell started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Logo for Washroom.com - public restroom supplies
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
An ecommerce site that focuses exclusively on commercial restrooms / washrooms. The type of restroom you would find in any store, restaurant, office, etc. We sell everything from baby changing stations to paper towel dispensers, mirrors, signs, dividers, etc. Everything in the commercial washroom is available from us.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
This is mainly a business to business operation. We are not focusing on the home bathroom at all.
The logo must include the text "washroom.com". A subtitle may or may not be used but it would be "Your Source for Everything in the Washroom".
I'm thinking about trying to incorporate a typical restroom sign into the logo. This typically includes a male and female (perhaps a child too!) stick figure. It is usually white text on a blue background. The signs are usually square or rectangular. Some states (i.e. California) use different shapes for male (triangle) and female (circle) or unisex (a triangle in a circle). You can see a lot of sign examples at justbathroomsigns.com
The main issue with using a sign as part of the logo is that the logo might tend to get "tall" and which is a concern when using it on a website (taking up too much vertical space on the monitor.)
Ideally, what you create will give it the feel of a restroom sign while keeping the weight of the logo along the horizontal axis.
