How Dsolbrack started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our new name will be FarmWest Equipment (there is no space between Farm and West) W is capped.
We are a John Deere Dealer in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. We serve and area that is
referred to as “The Palouse” . It is an area that has rolling hills. Our primary crop is winter wheat.
John Deere colors are Green and Yellow. We have no problem with using black in the name but any
accent should be green or yellow.
We are a conservative group and want something that stands out and is recognizable but not confusing
or needs someone to explain it.
We like the idea of having an oval type emblem. We are open to a creative yet simple graphic icons (think a combine, or mountains)
Please don’t limit yourselves to just these ideas. Use
your imagination for our artwork.

your idea contact Dennis Solbrack 509-397-4377 or

Here are our thoughts on the attachments.
Janet Farmwest Wheat 1 first cut thought the wheat looked funny pointed down.
Janet Farmwest Wheat 2 (three different formats) Generally like, fits the oval shape, maybe needs the FarmWest without the space between.
FarmWest Equipment 3 styles FarmWest needs to come together as one word. The swoop looks Ok but does not stand for anything.
2nd style has a swoop in the middle and breaks up the word the swoop looks better here but needs to extend down from the bottom of the word FarmWest, not through it.
3rd style the FWE is confusing. If you look at it for a while you can see the FWE but it takes too long.
FarmWest FWE simple but does not say much or imply strength of our new company.
FarmWest 2 more versions of the same.
Washington Tractor this is a neighbor dealer that came up with this. In our opinion is it bold, eye catching. They are in an area that is near the cascade mountain range so it makes sense for them.
We like this type of eye catching nature but think that the “Palouse Hills” would be better.
Other thoughts that we have had is to use the West thyme to accent our name.
These are very crude examples. Wagon wheel for the Q in Equipment or a cowboy hat hanging on the “T”.
3479 is our current logo, 3480 is Tumac's logo and 3481 is how our logo stands out on a combine.
