Kate.gunn got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Help Country Cancer Support with a new logo
Check out Kate.gunn's Logo design contest…
This website provides information to rural South Australian cancer patients and their families, friends, carers and health professionals on how to cope after being given a diagnosis of cancer and who can help with their social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and practical needs.
Logo types to explore
This website's audience is going to be rural, generally older and of both genders. The website will be focused on helping users with their support/ emotional/ social/ spiritual/ practical needs (not so much their medical needs). That is why the biopsychosocial model of health care diagram is attached- it emphasises the importance of a variety of domains contributing to good health (body, mind and social). This may be a little complex to incorporate into a logo but see how you go. I also had an idea about this website being the "gateway" or “pathway/ road” to information and services for rural people (it will include a directory of services) hence the pictures of the rural gate and country road attached. I think this might be easier to use and understand than the biopsychoscial concept outlined above but up to you. The slogan we will use (which you may or may not wish to incorporate in the logo) is "Information on how to cope and who can help, written by country people, for country people". The web address will be www.countrycancersupport.com.au Thanks for your help!
