It is for our annual Harvest Party t-shirts and marketing collateral. It can be complex but will need to also be able to be simplified down to something that we can have etched on wine glasses and other small areas. We are also commissioning a piece with Guy Buffet for the event so it would need to be something that he can incorporate into his work which is whimsically done. If you go to his website he has a piece that he did for Silverlake Winery under his commissioned tab (I believe) and that is probably most similar to the one he'll be doing for us.
We have winery and each year we have a yearly theme (this year it is -The skies the limit) and then use either it or one similarly related. I had a hard time thinking of images that would convey "The skies the limit" so I thought "Shoot for the stars" or "A night under the stars". That part is something that i will let you all use your creative talent to help me decide upon.
The reasoning behind the theme is to try and create a focus within a diverse brand. From a marketing perspective it helps us have cohesion.
At the end of last year we purchased a large (castle like) home that a friend of ours build at the top of our vineyard and we will be opening it as our 3rd tasting room in May so I felt the focus this year should be on our Estate Vineyard and it's new tasting room. It's a rural and remote location along the columbia river in Eastern WA located within the Horse Heaven Hills AVA and at first i was thinking something with cowboy boots but it gets really western pretty quickly and that's not what I was hoping for although an understated cowboy boot would be a terrific tie in.
