Harvard's Berkman Center for Internet & Society needs a logo for a new initiative

Our project aims to provide active, hands-on professional development in the area of Internet and Society issues for software developers and other tech industry veterans. For this program, we will be providing both an intensive educational experience through a Harvard Law School course followed by a semester long hackathon. Participants will work with leading academics and industry thinkers to identify and build potential solutions to vexing cybersecurity problems.

The focus here should probably be on the word "Assembly," as the soon-to-be launched Berkman Klein center will likely have its own logo and branding separate from the Assembly project (we do still need "Berkman Klein" in the logo somewhere, though). The word "Assembly" in the name "Berkman Klein Assembly" carries with it a few different meanings: (1) in the spirit of a general or state assembly, we hope to have it encompass the idea that we are recruiting representatives from various areas of industries and organizations to achieve a common ground understanding between policy and technology issues; (2) gives a nod to the important of the educational component of our project; and (3) refers to the "assembly language" giving a nod to developers we're hoping to bring to the program. MIDSTREAM ADDENDUM: We really appreciate everything we've seen to this point. To paint with a very broad brush, we think perhaps the logos have been a bit more corporate than we're looking for. As a group associated with Harvard, we're always trying to fight off a corporate connotation. So I think it would be fair to say that we'd love to see something a bit more "warm." Our program is going to involve people practically living together in order to hopefully do/make something good for the world (and have a good academic experience to boot). So we want this thing to look and feel personal. If you have an opportunity, please read the messages we have posted globally to the list.
