About us
Note: This is a logo for a team of ~40 people at Google. Please see attached file for additional details. Spanner is Google’s scalable, multiversion, globally distributed, and synchronously replicated database. It is the first system to distribute data at global scale and support externally-consistent distributed transactions. The name "Spanner" was chosen as it was designed to "span the globe". Spanner is supported by Spanner SRE, so that users of spanner do not need to worry about supporting a spanner instance themselves. The Spanner SRE logo is targeted at these audiences: 1. Spanner team. System and software engineers who know the system well and are involved in its day to day operations and engineering. 2. Other SRE teams in Google. These engineers are interested in learning about design and integration with the system. They may also be interested in how Spanner SRE differs from other SRE teams in team culture and applying SRE principles. 3. Google engineers and other technical users. They may be already familiar with Spanner or just curious about its design and ways to adopt it in their platforms.
