Give birth to the logo for EP Nexus

EP Nexus

This is for a blog about executive protection (protective security for high net worth people ) This will include a community forum for readers. Topics will include: research/intelligence gathering, reviews of training programs, threat assessment, investigations, etc. The audience is (1) those in this industry, corporate security specialists.. including managers (2) Those trying to get started in the industry.

I'd like to explore the following colors:

Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.

These sites have a similar topic as mine, and I want to look VERY different than them (in color and design style)

Since my blog is about connecting people with a community forum and critical/provocative articles, I would like the logo to convey this.

And if an animal/natural symbol can be used that's even better.
