norskibuski got their new logo design by running a design contest:
A future vision for business
Check out norskibuski's Logo design contest…
My organisation is a progressive business forum that aims to be a home for progressive business thinking ideas and voices. Here progressive means a balance between innovation and calls from the public for a more responsible business/economic environment, post the 2008 financial crash. as such this organisation is tasked with looking at what comes next for business ( a new vision from business) and making the case that business is a positive tool and solution provider, finding ways to show this, rebuilding trust and the relationship with the public in the process. This contest was run once before, but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I was not able to use the design that won. But what the contest taught me is that I like a classy, two or one tone and clean design that can be a slightly retro take on the idea (as this venture is in a way a 'back to the future' project of businesses in a mature economy going back to the roots of what business is all about). The design can also be a very future looking design, taking into account the evolution of business and the markets for the 21st century. I did focus previously on light bulbs indicating innovation, but I would now say go with what you feel best symbolises this new way for yourself. I also realised that I want the logo to have symbols or images within or alongside it so that it can easily fit on a website page.
