We are 2 identical twins who are now running a saas start-up, offering an online budgeting application designed for marketing professionals. Allocadia allows you to more easily plan, track, share, and analyze your marketing budget, and do it all online in a friendly + visual way. No more spreadsheets, no more chasing down information, no more painful processes. Now it’s easy for you and your team to be on top of your budget and quickly answer common budgeting questions. Having started our own marketing services company, we kept seeing the same problem at our client sites. There were always budgeting questions that couldn't be easily answered, but answers were needed yesterday. It was difficult to simply know what was spent, let alone know more detailed information needed to make the best budget decisions. We felt that budgeting shouldn't be so challenging, especially considering it was a core component to our roles as Marketing Managers in medium-large businesses (essentially being tasked with effectively managing a budget in order to implement campaigns that have an impact on revenue). So we decided to do something about it, and Allocadia was built as a result.
Purchaser: Marketing VP, Director, or Manager who's been given a corporate budget to spend. Other people they add as users to the application can include clients, executives, partners, marketing team members (such as Events Manager, Public Relations Manager, Direct Marketing Manager etc). We have customers in all different kinds of industries including manufacturing, consumer products, insurance, high-tech, and hospitality.
Tone: fun and friendly and colorful! Our goal is to make budgeting Visual & Friendly. Our application includes a lot of colors & visual reports. It is designed to replace spreadsheets and make budgeting easier (no more rows of black and white spreadsheet data that is hard to read and look at). Feel: Web 2.0 (we are a software-as-a-service company) Colors: green is our main corporate color and orange our secondary accent color but we are open to using green and another color or more than just 2 colors as well. Color codes that we currently use are green #35B44A and orange #c38336 although we're flexible here on suggestions. Theme: "Allocating" - our name Allocadia is a play on 'Allocate your marketing budget' so using a visual design elements that represents allocating is ideal. Something that helps visually describe what we do. Background: we have a logo on our site now but we feel it is too plain/not strong enough as a standalone logo. We want a type of symbol as part of it. Tagline: we'd like to have "Budgeting software for marketers" as the tagline with the logo. Other: We would like a capital "A" to be used for Allocadia (and no .com on it like other web apps).
