"Antagonist" is a creative writing app sold to independent fiction authors. Out slogan is "We'll get that story out of you. Trust us." While our business is serious, we embrace the fun and creativity in fantasy villainy!

While my brand is targeted at serious authors, we embrace the fun and creativity of our industry. Feel free to have some fun with fantasy villainy! I prefer simple shapes and a couple of bold colours over fine details and soft shading. I want the logo to work well in silhouette (black on white, or vice versa). The design will be used as our website and app logos, so I need it to work well when shrunk down and have a 1:1 ratio. Finally, don't worry about trying to fit the word "antagonist" into the logo. I really just want a bold, simple, recognisable graphic to represent us. Thank you!

This design hit my brief perfectly! It hit all of my technical notes, and presents my brand in a really interesting and meaningful way. I wanted a logo that represented an "antagonist" and while most other designers drew beautiful graphics of villains, this winning design went the extra step of having the villain stealing letters from the author themselves -- a true antagonist!

C monogram logo for visual effects company

I love creating unique monograms so used this approach for Colony Visual Effects. As company is working on visual effects and making impossible stuff, possible, I decided to play with C, made with Escher-esque approach creating bending letter with impossible geometry theme. It works really great with subtle gradient giving this effect another dimension, but it works really great in single color as well. I took extra effort and created couple mockups showing this design used in various situations and in the end payed of.
