I will be opening the first of 3-4 full-service newsstands in the Denver, CO metro area. This will be a take on the ourdoor newsstands you see in Los Angeles however; this will be a 21st Century newsstand coupled with technology to include a news ticker, flatscreen tvs, ipads, mac setup, great music, etc. The asthetic of the stand is modern with very clean lines that gives off a "store vide" rather than just a stand. We are looking to bring cutomers into the 21st century where news is concerned and want to create a site that becomes a destination rather than just a place to get the paper or a magazine. We will also be selling speciality coffee table book as well as sundries and very unique T-Shirts that one can't find elsewhere
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
All demographics. We expect to have 8-10K pedestrians/day transverse the spot of our first stand. They comprise people who live and work downtown, people staying in the numerous hotels close in proximity as well as people from the Convention center and the U of Colorado at Denver. Up to 100,000 people a day visit the 16th Street Mall
We are looking for a logo that is modern & clean and matches up to the modern asthetics of the actual structure. We are interested in playing with something from a graphic/cube like perspective as the structure will be a 12' x 12' "cube". Thus the name, "The NewsCube". We are interested in what a cube with a "pucci"esque swirl design might look like as well as other examples with color or the basic black, white, gray palettes. So in essence, we are looking for a number of examples to determine the best look for the logo and brand that will launch our company.
