We are an education advocacy organization. We fight for policy that gives more educational options to more families. We believe families should have the opportunity to choose the a school which best fits their child's needs. We're supporters of public, private, charter, and innovative education - anything that challenges a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. Target audience is parents, funders, and voters.

Your color choices will help us choose a palate for our website, which is soon to be developed. We are aiming for BOLD colors. Please don't just do blues.

Our full name is Washington UnlimitEd. That's a play on UNLIMTing EDucation. We want to unlimit education in our state. The mark should communicate the following two things. The idea of "unlimiting." This means "breaking free" or "setting free" or "removing boundaries" or "removing limits" or "improving" or "growing." In this case it DOESN'T mean "infinite." How can you communicate this visually? The idea of Washington state (not to be confused with Washington DC). Washington is in our name but we don't want it in the lettering of the logo. So, if possible, the mark should try to incorporate Washington state imagery. This can be captured in the outline of the state. We want the logo fresh, edgy, and simple. Not traditional or overly detailed. Out brand is fresh, playful but purposeful. It should feel like the logo of an organization that is going to shake up the status quo, not something buttoned up or too serious. I’m interested in pictorial or abstract (but NOT too abstract). I want a mark that we're proud to put on mugs, pins, and shirts. Something that's easily recognizable and simple. A few design principles: A few universal pieces of advice: 1. You are encouraged to use the font called Dunbar Tall (https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/dunbar). However, if you think you have a better font then use your chosen font. 2. Try only lowercase lettering. Find a creative way to distinguish the Unlimit from the Ed. 3. Use only two colors in the logo (black counts as a color) 4. Create a mark that includes the lettering, rather than a logo in which the mark and lettering are separate 5. Bold colors, don't copy what you see in the current designs I'M AROUND TO GIVE QUICK FEEDBACK OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS. WE'RE MOTIVATED.
