I had a lot of great entries in my contest but I could not get past this design. She took a concept that could have been cheesy and unoriginal and made it sleek, modern, fun, and something I am proud to associate with my business. Thanks!!
How Golden Sky Media started their logo design journey
We will be using this logo on all materials related to The Fraternity Tour. Currently we have been using a "dated" logo that you can find at (http://www.fraternitytour.com) ... we need something that combines the college feel with a classic brand's logo. Definitely something that is a little more modern and hip. The Fraternity Tour is a company that puts up and coming music artists out on the road to play for the college market -- mainly large Fraternity Parties. It can be viewed as almost a Minor League system for the music industry. The artists that will be (and have been) participating are the next generation of big music acts in this demographic. Eventually this logo will be incorporated into merchandise and all signage involved with the tour. We need the logo to carry the brand image of this company ... since the artists will be previously unknown to most colleges they must trust "The Fraternity Tour" as a brand when booking these shows. We will be basing our website (at the early stages of development) on the design and feel of this logo.
Sponsors for this company and events will be very masculine -- Muslce Milk, Oakley, New Era
The Fraternity Tour
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We need a logo for The Fraternity Tour - a company that puts up and coming musicians on tour throughout the U.S. playing mostly college campus events at Fraternities.
The tours will be sponsored by major brands so we need a logo that can stand on its own next to a huge brand.
- Colors that appeal to young men (fraternity guys) - Possible incorporation of Greek letters (can't be overdone) - Looking to use the company name "The Fraternity Tour" on its own with the possibility of some kind of design to accompany it .... This is the first artist that went out on The Fraternity Tour and a quick youtube video we did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtq_Vny0m48 -- check out http://www.kelleyjames.com
Don't want a 'cheesy' cartoon type feel. Don't want something cliche - in regards to all other Greek (fraternity/sorority) designs.
