Love her designs. She understood the brief perfectly and when I asked for more variations she was very thoughtful about giving a good selection. Very polite and responsive too. Easy to work with!
How beadsbling started their logo design journey
The Feathered Milliner
We are currently a bead shop in Ireland http://www.beadsandbling.com that is splitting itself in two and setting up a dedicated millinery business. The Feathered Milliner will:
(i) teach customers how to make hats and fascinators (beautiful headpieces – smaller than hats – often worn at horse racing meetings and weddings).
(ii) supply the raw materials to make these creations to casual and professional milliners – sinamay and feathers are two of our main products.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Retail customer base - 99% female. Market is the UK and Ireland where hats and fascinators are predominantly worn to weddings and horse racing events. The appeal to the customer is that the cost of making your own design is a fraction of the cost of buying a ready-made product, you made it yourself, and it will match the occasion and your outfit perfectly.
Wholesale customer base – professional milliners, predominantly female, who currently have a very limited (and expensive) choice of suppliers from which to source materials to make their creations.
We are looking for a logo for use on our (yet to be created) website and on printed brochures/leaflets.
It should contain the words “The Feathered Milliner” and incorporate some aspect of hats, fascinators and feathers into the logo. (Type ‘fascinator photos’ into Google for visual examples of fascinators.)
Style - the logo should be elegant, in line with the product – no cartoons. The font should be readable and the images not overly stylised – it needs to be clear what the image/images are, for people that might not necessarily understand the word ‘milliner’ in the company name.
Colours – bright & colourful, but with the ability to reproduce in plain black without losing much of the visual clarity of the logo.
We are keeping the same pink background theme we have at http://www.beadsandbling.com so the logo will need to either look good against it or blend into it.
No stock images or clip art. Final files in Illustrator and .jpg formats.
