A Family Logo ($125)

I would like a simple family logo created for use on family correspondence (letters, emails, postcards, blog entries, etc.) and for possible use on certain clothing items (shirts, t-shirts, hats, etc.).

Desired Color Scheme:
We need the design to work in both colour and black/white.

Accepted File Formats:
Files should be supplied in a vector format, preferably AI and SVG, but just SVG would be ok.

I am looking for a designer to create a family logo for our 5-year anniversary.
Our family name is Suel, but we call ourselves Suelfam (an abbreviation of Suel Family). I would like our logo to have the Suelfam name. I am undecided on if the first S should be capitalized. It is lower case in most of the communication we use. It might be nice to leave the letter lower case but to set it off from the rest of the letters by putting it in a circle or something like that.

Allow me to tell you a little bit about us, so that you can create a custom design. We are adventurous people. In fact, despite being American, we now live and work in England. We made the move to England so that we could explore Europe. We have visited numerous countries since weve been here and we plan to visit many more before we move back to the States. We are also heavily involved with our Christian Church. I, Jason, am a drama teacher and Sarah, my wife, is an Occupational Therapist. As far as design concepts go, I dont have a very clear picture of how I want the design to look, but I can give you some things that interest me. First, we love the film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. I think I would like the design to be similar to the designs used on apparel in the film. If you could slip a red stocking cap (like those used in the film) over one of the lettersthat would be great. Then again, you are the designerits completely up to you.

As far as colour schemes, it's completely up to you. But, the light blue, yellow, and red used in "The Life Aquatic" are pleasing.
