Grapevine Rewards sells a service called ‘Grapevine’ to travel companies. It helps the companies harness Facebook and Twitter to generate new sales. The Grapevine Platform provides incentives to the company’s customers in the form of points if the customers share content with their friends. The name Grapevine comes from the song- ‘I heard it though the grapevine’, which means it was passed from person to person over time. People trust friends to recommend travel and Grapevine is the company who will facilitate this communication on Facebook and Twitter. The software platform Grapevine also allows the customers to pass along info- person to person. The plant called ‘grapevine’ also is a long vine which has grapes on it and grows in Napa Valley quite well. The refined and sophisticated feeling around drinking wine is what we want to embody just like wine is distinctive. We are looking for a wine-like logo- but fresh and having nothing to do with WINE. Grapes do NOT have to be in the logo. Grapes MAY be in the logo. We do not sell wine. We do not sell grapes. The name is a play on the word ‘grapevine’ because it spreads and grows like a vine.

The people who will view the logo and buy the service are 35-55 year old professional men and women who work at companies and are in charge of Facebook and Twitter. They are primarily in the USA. They tend to be educated, fun, light hearted, and interested in social media. They are on the Internet constantly. They are passionate and opinionated. These people make the decision for the brands and companies on what technology to use and buy. They are in charge of the marketing and social media budget. They exchange their ideas with others. They are not shy. They want to look good when they make a decision. They want to be proud of this decision and the logo- When they choose to use Grapevine for their company to use- it is a BIG commitment.
