How glasses girl started their logo design journey
I am a retailer of 20 years moving to the iternet to create a living for myself as well as give back financially. Our site will feature funky and fun reading glasses at very affordable prices. What makes us unique is we will be partnering with a foundation affiliated with Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision and Luxxotica to provide eye exams and glasses for those who can't afford them around the world. Millions of people go without glasses that they need to weave, plant, cook and care for children. We will also be offering 2 pairs of glasses with pawprints that raise money for no kill animal shelters and animal welfare organizations.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience is men and women over 40 who want to purchase reading glasses and demand fashion and good value as well as knowing they are giving to others. This market will cut across ethnic and economic boundries so the logo should be professional but not stodgy, cute but not cutesy, and express our values of giving and shopping being compatible. It should be fun, creative and lighthearted but with enough visual snap, simplicity and class to be used by Ralph Lauren. Nothing even resembling Precious Moments.
1I am open to any colors since the glasses are all different colors.Go to fashionreadingglasses.com to and you will see the type of glasses we sell. Some pink is fine too. 2.I'd like a halo over the oo's if possible.
Please give it a clearly defined edge or border so it can be used for the purposes listed below. NO ROUNDED CORNERS OR MOD FONTS. WORDS MUST BE CAPITALIZED. NO EYES OR SMILES. Please read the target audience comments about the design. Please, nothing too cartoonish or cutesy looking.
3. Our slogan will be "Get the Glasses that Give Back"
4. The logo will be used in print, web and packaging such as eyeglass cases. It should be an icon and text mix for the website logo but I envision an icon that can stand alone that will be our recognizable signature on our packaging . If I am asking for too much just focus on the website logo.
6. It should be in .jpeg or .gif and .psd (layered) so we can separate the images and also be print ready . Goodness Glasses will own the logo 100% with no usage by anyone else.
