Confessions of an EMS Newbie is a weekly podcast for new Emergency Medical Services providers. Every week the Newbie, Ron, sits down with experienced paramedic and writer Kelly and discuss what he is learning while going through paramedic school.

People in EMT and paramedic school around the world. This audience is fairly young, but includes a lot of older second career people (including the newbie himself).

We also have many listeners who are experienced paramedics, but they enjoy listening anyway.

I need a logo that we can use on EMS Newbie stuff.

We will probably use the logo for the iTunes listing, and in the future we may produce flyers, CDs and other give aways that would have the logo on them. We are going to the Texas EMS Conference at the end of November and I'd like to have t-shirts with the logo on them.

So the logo needs to include color but work without it.

EMS has a symbol, the star of life, and it can, and maybe should, be in the logo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_of_Life)

It would be cool to include an ECG line into the design. To add real EMS geek cred integrate a bad ECG line. A STEMI line is an example. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1…_coded.jpg) The line goes down, up high, down low, and then kind of humps up over the mid line like the highlighted parts of that wikipedia image.

Most EMS people work on ambulances and that is currently in our logo.

While lots of firemen are EMTs and paramedics, I don't want anything fire related in the logo.
