We sell to clients in all different industries who have something to weigh which means we have to communicate the scale imagery without being industry-specific.
The website will have a Web 2.0 feel, so the logo should have that feel as well without dating itself. It should be reproducible both electronically and in print for business cards and letterhead.
The logo should a nice clean font and have an icon.
It should be on a white background.
Our initial thought for the design to use a "balance scale" as the image since balance scales are the most recognizable as a type of scale. You can see an example of a balance scale by typing "balance scale" into Google and then choosing "Images".
If you have a way to communicate the image of a scale, without a balance scale, please go ahead - as long as it's not a bathroom scale. A dial scale might work.
We only want to suggest a balance scale and do not want to it be ornate or clipart. It should be more modern and abstract, but still recognizable as a scale.
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai and .eps (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
