Dough Bees
We are a start up company looking for a logo for a Laundromat. We will be servicing our local community in the East Village, Manhattan and are looking to differentiate ourselves from the Laundromats in the area. We are looking for the logo to incorporate the name ‘Dough Bees’ as well as a visual of a bee associated with laundry.
People who live in East Village New York who are too busy to do their own laundry or who do not have washing machines in their buildings.
The Overall feel:
Think country bakery or coffee shop with a warm inviting feeling; large plank wooden floors; slate counter tops. We are looking to provide a comforting feeling that they can trust their laundry to be taken care of in a timely and environmentally friendly manner.
The color direction:
Please use this as a direction, as we are open to suggestions. Also feel free to use either color as the dominant color, or to take out a color.
Primary coloring:
-pantone 7452 U a sort of periwinkle
-panton 365 U a pale green, almost yellow
Copy coloring:
-pantone 7504U a cocoa chocolate
Yellow of the bee:
-pantone 393U cold cream yellow
The bee: The bee should be friendly, approachable, happy, doing something with laundry. An example is holding a hamper with folded laundry in it.
Framing of the logo: we would prefer a soft framing of the logo, either round or oval framing, but are also open to suggestions.
Examples:
- We like the feel of this bakery’s design: http://www.financierpastries.com/index.cfm
What we like about it is that it has a clean feel to it while providing a sense of warmth and welcoming. If you are in New York, we particularly like the feel of the 1st avenue and 54th street store.
Attached is a mood board to give the general feel of what we are looking for.
