We provide online financial services; like: Portfolio Management, Annuities and Insurance. We are looking to capture the 20-45 demographic but not alienate other demographics. The target audience likes convenience, is hip to modern trends, responds to feelings rather than numbers.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Green: Fertility, Wealth, Healing, Success, Growth

We chose the above logos for a number of reasons. First, we like that the image is separate from the typeface. While this is a financial company logo, we'd like to see ideas different from bar graphs, arrows pointing up, and other imagery typically associated with investments. Second, the fonts used above appear to be customized; they look original. Several of them, like the Hippie Luxe, would translate well to an app icon and we like that possibility.
Our users are typically younger and fit into that app crowd that likes clean, modern designs and isn't necessarily a fan of the institutional look typically utilized by the industry. Also, this is a DIY logo so that part should be clear in the design.
