Design an Upscale, Chef-Owned, Roast Chicken Shop Logo

We are an upmarket roast chicken shop, about to open our doors for the first time in the heart of the health-conscious and trendy Melbourne, Australia. Our owner is a chef who has worked in some of Melbourne's most prestigious restaurants. Now he wants to bring beautiful food, real roast chicken and seasonal salads, to his customers with the speed that Mcdonald's delivers Mcflurries. Essentially, it's fine dining meets fast food.

EDIT: We are now really looking for a design with brushwork (please see new attachments below for the owner's inspiration). We want it to have a bit of edge to it, almost a bit of punk, and we would really like to see some lashes of blue colour in there. A pecking chicken would be ideal (as the owner would like to make a neon sign of the chicken pecking), and it should be a simple, clean design that uses expressive brushwork for the outline. Again, the chicken should be able to be made into a neon sign. All your other designs are still on the table but we would like to focus this final leg of the competition on getting designs which meet that concept. Please note that we do NOT want it to be overtly feminine or Asian-appearing. Thank you all so much for your time. The logo should be recognisable, modern and a little funky, but still upscale, sophisticated and attractive to a 35 year old office worker. We would like to see a fine-line or brushwork chicken pecking at a few sprinkles on the floor as the base concept, to makes customers think of quality ingredients and free range chickens. You can present other ideas, however. Ideally, the chicken could have some personality or character to it to appeal to kids, but the logo should remain sophisticated enough. We would like to see some contrast with the strong colours picked, reds and oranges - as to draw the eye from a mile down the high street. Would like to see if a touch of blue could be added. However, the cleanness of the design needs to come before colour - it can't feel clunky and overcomplicated. Stay away from Asian style designs, with an Eastern name of Korr Jee, we DON'T want to make ourselves look overly Asian and scare away Western customers. We make simple, clean food with great ingredients and experience - we need something that reflects that without excluding local, middle-class families!
