We would like a very corporate, clean, professional look. Our first preference for colour would be a pantone gold colour, but open to other ideas. The colour should work well on black or white, as we will be printing business cards on very dark and very light wood grains.
I've attached a jpg that depicts the sketch we drew up as an example of what we have in mind. The layout can be changed up - it doesn't have to look like this.
Also, we like Ubuntuu as a font for Ligna, but are open to other suggestions. Do not want fonts that need to be purchased though.
The diamond/rhombus shape:
1. Our first vision is symmetrical (not like the mess I created in the attached jpg). The top and bottom lines should have a little length so it looks more like it's flattened on the top and bottom, but the sides could come out to a point. The lines should also be thick enough that they won't get lost on a business card. However, keep in mind that we are capable of cleaning this one up, so please use some creativity or refer to #2 and #3.
2. Alternatively, maybe each line/layer of the diamond could be slightly 3-dimensional, coming out of the design to look like layers of veneer laying upon each other.
3. Or maybe the design could be a perfect diamond shape without edges and the lines would be curved like tree rings from the bottom up to a couple of horizontal lines across the middle and curving in the opposite direction to the top of the diamond (see second jpg attached for idea).
