Website/Brand Name is Dadathlon. This is a startup resource for Dads. We will have a blog, podcast, social media to reach communities of Dads to offer specific ideas and tangible resources and ideas on how to be better Dads across the various aspects of Dad-ness. In a nutshell, coaching for dads. Sometimes it's a workout, sometimes it's a pep talk. Easy to interact with with clear, easy and actionable takeaways. For more depth on Dadathlon brand and values, please see About Us below. Target Audience: Men 25-55 with kids ranging from newborn to college Tone: light, fun, punchy, and helpful. Logo: Thinking a combination mark (or possibly an emblem) that incorporates the word Dadathlon with a twist on a triathlon. Triathlon has swimming, running and biking. (Google triathlon logos for a general idea of where my head is - I also attached a few below - but please don't limit yourself to those approaches - just using those as visual examples of things that combine several activities with the word/brand. Really curious to see some different approaches.) Rather than 3 sports, I'd ideally like something that represents three aspects of fatherhood: There are many "events" in the "Dadathlon" but I've divided in to three buckets of Hard skills: Dollars/Providing/Working, Activities/Sports, Maintaining Home, Saving for College Soft Skills: Making memories/Connecting with sons, daughters, Mom Life skills: Health, Humor, Wisdom/Faith Maybe something that has a graphical representation of one from each bucket woven into or around the word Dadathlon? Three symbols perhaps using three colors? I'd like the three pictures/symbols to be different aspects (i.e. not all sports or all lawn, etc.) and clear what the activity is. (Maybe one coaching/throwing a ball, one changing a diaper, and another doing something else? walking a daughter down the aisle? taking a picture? mowing the lawn? Open to any ideas.) Maybe Dad in the center doing 3 things in different directions? or 3 letters of the word morphed into one of the Dad activities? But I would like the word "Dadathlon", however it's used, to be legible as such.
Including an About Us from website under construction for more info on brand/values: Welcome to Dadathlon - the ultimate coach for Dads competing in ALL of life's events. You're busy. And stressed. And don't really talk about it. Work, earn, coach, be there for Mom/Grandpa/dog, pay bills, save for college, play catch… "...and the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon..." You know what I mean. My goal: Help dads balance it all. Learn from them in the process. This community is not about posing. It's about improving. Period. We all screw up. We all want better. We all have something to teach and something to learn. Like the Olympic Decathlon, Dad-ness requires strength in different types of skills. For those whose rapidly clicking fingers don't recall the PONG-like 80's video game, the Olympic Decathlon events fall into three buckets: Running: 100M dash, 110M hurdles, 400M, 1500M Jumping: Long Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault Throwing: Discus, Javelin, Shotput Similarly, DADathlon events fall into three buckets: Logistics: Dollars, Activities/Sports, Home, College Loving: Connecting with sons, daughters, Mom Living: Health, Humor, Wisdom It doesn't take much brain power to realize that the person who wins the gold in the stand-alone shot put looks NOTHING LIKE the person who wins the 1500M. Winning Decathletes balance it ALL. Here we share strategies to improve on all DADathlon events: the hard skills of Logistics, the soft skills of Loving, and the life skills of Living. So lace up your shoes and start stretching. Practice starts TODAY. But these Olympics aren't every 4 years and a gold medal can't hold a candle to the invisible medals WE will get.
