Food & Drink
We sell super healthy and delicious organic food bites like whole wheat blueberry-packed pancake bites that are vibrant purple and nutritious and spinach-packed, cheesy egg bites. We are also working on other concepts like soft oatmeal bites packed with fruit, cheese sticks mixed with puréed vegetables, and more with the idea that we use a few premium ingredients minimally processed to create convenient and nutritious food bites that parents can heat up for a quick breakfast for their kids or pack in their bento box for a snack or lunch. Target audience for the users (the ones eating the bites) is 2 year old toddlers to 9 year old elementary school kids. Target audience for customers are their parents — busy, mostly millennial parents who shop at Whole Foods or other high end grocery stores and care about feeding their kids nutritious food and often don’t have time to make food from scratch, especially for breakfast and snacks. Starting in the San Francisco Bay Area. Some of our principles: - More premium, modern branding (for the customers) that also resonates with kids (the users) - Playful, while being modern and tasteful (for the modern millennial) - Eg. Brightland, but for kids https://brightland.co/ - Attributes: Fun, bright, community-driven, health-forward - Progressive, take a stance on food insecurity, climate, and other food system issues care about regardless of bottom-line impact (perhaps donate portion of sales to partner orgs), similar to Patagonia - Not put profits above the health and safety of kids (B-Corp, if possible) - Pay fair prices to suppliers and fair wages to employees - Radically transparent about our business practices, supply chain, ingredients, etc - Serious about health and safety, and critical food system issues, but otherwise playful and fun - We are educational and treat kids as thoughtful, curious, and more sophisticated than they get credit for. We do not shy away from explaining who we are and what we stand for, and why it's important, to kids in an age-appropriate way - Celebrate diversity and underrepresented people, especially those working in the food industry - We are super healthy AND delicious. Our products are better for you and taste better than anything else you can find - Kids should generally eat what their parents are eating and with their parents, and limit amount of processed food consumed. However, when that is not possible the next best thing is minimally-processed food that their parents would be happy to have made and eaten themselves
