(Background info: WWF-Canada and Carolinian Canada are collaborating to test a new method of engagement that will help protect and restore habitat for rare and other native wildlife, through the everyday activity of gardening. The 'In the Zone' program aims to engage individuals (all ages, demographics, wildlife lovers, gardeners, citizens concerned about the environment) in communities to link home garden practices to broader landscape-level ecosystem health, including protection of species-at-risk and other wildlife.
