Inspiring Innovation With Makerspaces (TED Talk, 6 minutes)
We aim to deliver unique, hands-on learning experiences that encourage play and creativity, while promoting STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Math).
Our goal is to amplify traditional classroom teaching with experiential learning Arts (drama, music, public speaking) and Technology.
Our target audience is elementary school kids in grades K-8, and their families.
We have multiple audiences – kids, parents, business community, and potential donors (corporate foundations).
Innovation Station is also intended to be the public-facing brand for our newly-created, Mundelein District 75 STEAM Foundation – a non-profit organization that will fundraise and promote new strategic partnerships with local technology businesses, and make our community an educational destination in the Northwest Chicago suburbs.
