The Orchard Project is a organization that supports artists to create new projects and new ideas. Currently, we run development laboratories and programs where shows get created (such as the TONY winner ALL THE WAY), education programs. You can learn more at http://www.orchardproject.com.

The organization has been around for 12 years, and serves artists from both NYC and all around the world. While some of our activities are in NYC, we also run programs in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY.
With many arts orgs, we want the logo to be as flexible for as many uses as possible. Think step and repeats, theatre programs/playbills, etc.
Our current logo is on our site, and used Aksidenz Grotesk medium condensed. We like the font but are not married to it.
The sample logos we noted in the brief all share a fairly abstracted iconography. As our mission is to create a space and environment for artists to take risks, the logo should also feel aspirational without being too literal.
We would like to tie the logo to the ideas of creativity and generation.
