My personal aesthetics usually include either great line quality, geometric (including circles) design, and or a lot of detail. Not all three need to be present, but those are the things I lean towards. I also love color, but for a logo, simple is okay, in that department. It's very important to stay away from anything that implies sexuality, in any way, but using images of a body could be good (not required, at all) as long as it is sexually neutral.
