How Michaël Chassé started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our non-for-profit academic organization (Centre de Recherche du CHUM) conducts research studies in the medical field. We are affiliated with Montreal University in Montreal, Canada. Our national research program aims to improve organ donation in Canada through high quality non-for-profit research. Our program targets hospitals, doctors, patients and families across the country. That logo will represent that research program across Canada.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Has to be easy to print using black and white printers (but some color is preferred for use in scientific presentations and promotional material)
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
It shows suggest "change into something else", transformation... In organ donation, you give life to someone else. The deceased person helps someone else (often many). It can be seen as a "transformation" rather than the end...
Looks professional although the shield look a bit "agressive" for what we want
I like the idea of having an image embedded in the name
Clean, simple, "peaceful", supportive. Those are keywords that come to mind when I see this logo
I don't like the agressive color, but I like how clean it is.
We want to show hope with our logo. This gives me this feeling
Clean, simple and yet can leave a touch to the imagination. Although we are studying a very sensitive topic (end of life and death), organ donation is a "positive outcome" and we wish our program to be seen like this (even if we work with bereaving families and critically ill patients)
The doctor and scientist running this program (Dr Michaël Chassé) is conducting several studies on organ donation (human related studies). We are looking for a program logo that represents organ donation, the brain, end of life (we are studying the dying process of the brain, that can eventually lead to organ donation, and also the consent process around organ donation). We would like the logo to be clean, simple, as “positive” as possible and try to show hope in life despite tremendous difficulties (this logo will be on all communications for the study, including to bereaving families). Although we study the dying process in critically injured patient, this research program offers hope to bereaving families… We are open to suggestions and creativity. Thanks
