Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are educational consultants who work with high school students to find the right college and learn about what it takes to be successful in college. At the same time, we work with the families, mostly parents, of the students to help them understand how they can most effectively support their student pre and during college. The student is the main client, the parents are the main customers as they will be the ones contracting for our services. Therefore, we need a design that is appealing to both. It is likely that this population is more affluent and has their own higher education experience.

Classic and evokes competance
Its clean and clear. You can see the name in the visual.
The design doesn't have to be just this and could be something completely different, but our current thinking is that a globe and a graduation cap captures what we want to get across. Is there a way to incorporate a design that includes both? Or, surprise us with something better! Please note, our name is College Route Map--we intentionally used "route" instead of "road" because we want it to be more than just a road trip. The idea being that working with us helps you find success by choosing the right college and through that experience learning how to discover new worlds--through ideas, travels, in spirit, essentially looking at life as a vast canvas of opportunities. Looking online, there were lots of pictures of graduation, caps, and globes, just not something unique and just right for us!
