Our design was for a handiapp for the handicap. With all the different designs presented, Kerman took time to ask what we were looking for. Once giving my feedback, he incorporated what our app is about: location and our name within Maps all in one! Loved seeing our logo come to life:)

New Directions is a charitable foundation operating in the country of Myanmar (formerly Burma) in South East Asia. The main focus of the foundation is to improve the living conditions of the citizens of Myanmar through sustainable education programmes. During this early stage in development our main focus is on English and vocational training.

The idea behind the name is about providing new directions for disadvantaged individuals in a developing country. We would like a logo that encapsulates both what we are trying to achieve and the essence of Myanmar as a country. Myanmar is a deeply pious country with Buddhism being a part of everyday life for many people across the country. A lot of the work we are doing will be in collaboration with monastic schools across the country run by monks and nuns. Whilst we would not want the logo to look like a logo for Buddhism it might be something you wish to include - albeit without making it the focal point (nothing too blatant). As the foundation is heavily focused on education (mainly for young people) this could also be something you might wish to consider with the logo design. We would like something that balances the exotic mystique of Myanmar with a sophisticated look.
