Leaf is a new contender in the field of Australian Superannuation - the Australian Pension system.
Current pension funds in Australia don’t have specific solutions for younger audiences.
Typically, the current funds cater to audiences with a bigger balance, but tend to neglect younger generations - people with lower balances.
Additionally, current funds usually have high fees, and often you are automatically signed up to insurances you don’t need.
People tend to ignore their pension status until it is too late, which leads to many people having multiple accounts with low balances - each account with its own fees.
What happens is that when a person reaches the age of 25-30, they usually realize that most of their savings have been lost due to fees taken both on the pension as well as on the insurance.
Leaf is trying to change the paradigm by creating a new Superannuation fund, designed specifically for young people.
The fund will have low fees, will aim to find the right insurance products for its members, and it will be very transparent, with ease-of-use as a primary focus.
