CLIENT PROFILE Garden Lites is a brand of prepared food made with simple, clean ingredients, which can be found in the natural and organic freezer section of retailers nationwide. Our brand is focused on providing consumers with delicious and convenient prepared foods that have vegetables as the first ingredient. Our line of delicious frozen food ranges from entrees to muffins to snacks; all products can be reviewed at http://www.garden-lites.com/recent-products/ TARGET AUDIENCE • Head of household looking to make better food choices • Slightly higher level of disposable income • “I am a busy, on-the-go mom that cares about the quality of food I feed my family and pays attention to the latest food trends” SITUATION ASSESSMENT • We’re looking to become more than just a diet brand. Our current name, Garden Lites, does not reflect where we are looking to move forward with our brand and limits us in what we can produce o We want to distance our products from being perceived as diet food. The word “Lites” is associated with diet and low-cal food, something we want to move beyond • Going forward, the brand needs to evolve beyond Diet connotation, and therefore subordinating the “Garden Lites” to a sub-brand status. And our tag line, “The Delicious Vegetable Company”, becoming the prominent brand mark o PROJECT GOAL • As stated in the situation assessment, we want our current tagline, The Delicious Vegetable CompanyTM, to become the master brand, and transition Garden Lites to a sub-brand of the master brand o We’re looking for a 3-step transition from our current logo to our final goal. The plan is to gradually roll out this logo change over a few years so we do not alienate and confuse our current consumer
DESIGN ELEMENTS • Words to be included on Logo: The Delicious Vegetable Company, and Garden Lites as a sub-brand -We are looking for 3 designs total • The end result (3rd design in the transition) should have a weight of at least 65% “The Delicious Vegetable Company” and 35% “Garden Lites”, and at most 85% for “The Delicious Vegetable Company” • Details: “Delicious” and “Vegetable” are the most important words to communicate in the “The Delicious Vegetable Company” treatment. • Tone and image: Natural, approachable, wholesome, just like our current logo
