More on the brand - Snapi.
Ultimately it’s all about communication/language. Snapi is a game/activity/toy/system that people will use to learn, practice, improve their communication skills. The main feature to the product is the buttons which holds the information.
How are we choosing the logo:
1. Is it simple. Does it work in one colour, will it work across all mediums such as print, digital, animation, embroidery etc.
2. Is it relatable. Does the logo somehow relate back to the core business of Snapi being communication/language/education/learning
3. Is it memorable. Can you explain it to someone. Hey!? Have you heard about Snapi? No, what is that? Haven’t you seen the logo with the bla bla bla
4. Is the logo playful while keeping professional. The logo is attached to a brand that is starting off in the childrens industry but may reach into adults and general board game industry. So we want to keep the logo fun, not too childlike, with the right amount of a professional feel.
So far, we have seen parrots and speech bubbles being the closest to hitting the brief (I’m sure there are other ways to relate communication through the logo). There have been a few button designs but nothing that’s quite hit the mark. We like having a character/illustration attached to the logo, this helps with the memorable factor. We just ask to keep it simple, keep it somehow relating to the brand, and the last one, make sure there’s some fun? Does the logo make you smile when you look at it?
