nuyuu is an online education platform providing online courses in personal development and life skills. The courses are available to everyone from young to old, busy professionals to busy parents or teenagers. However, the key focus is providing a product that is highly accessibility for the blind, deaf or special needs users so that they are also able to benefit from the self-empowerment today’s technology can afford.
Logo types to explore
Company Logo / Text: nuyuu Tagline: reinvent yourself Outline of Work Design a logo for an e-training company providing online courses for personal development and life skills. Highly accessible and affordable for all users but tailored to the needs of people who are are blind, deaf or with special needs. The accessible aspect of it is a main focus therefore where possible this to be brought into the logo design. Ideally the logo should be simple and clear, preferably lowercase “nuyuu” and subtle with a supporting image or playing with the letters to incorporate an image. Ideally the image can also be used in isolation without the lettering to represent the brand, i.e. used in a stationary watermark, website favicon etc. A good example would be Khan Academy's logo of the tree and the leaf to symbolise knowledge. (https://plus.google.com/+khanacademy/posts) However, we would not want to follow the tree route copying Khan logo etc. Colours: yellow, autumn colours or subtle gold. Example colour pallets are: http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/893330/winken http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/235617/Better_Than_Love For contrast maybe something like: http://www.colourlovers.com/palette/281443/All_the_Best_To_You! As Accessibility is very important high contrasting colours are favourable 2 preferred example fonts: Alpaca Scarlett - I like the weight and roundness of the font. I really like the decenders that do not curl all the way round. This adds a distinct difference, which I would really like to incorporate. http://www.dafont.com/alpaca.font?text=nuyuu Eight One - for the roundness although I think this font is not strong enough, I like the symmetrical appearance of the type when “nuyuu” is written, not having equal weight either side of the “y” http://www.dafont.com/eight-one.font?text=nuyuu The above is very much for direction. Have fun with the creation of the logo as we are open to your ideas and interpretation. Words which represent the soul of Nuyuu: Empowerment Freedom Change Reinvent yourself Become more Set yourself free Limitless living Thanks
