How corelblack started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Kerry Faudree Heartsmith
What’s your company slogan?
Getting to the Heart Counseling
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I have an ad agency and I would describe the client this way: Kerry is a Psychotherapist who specializes in Family Programs for addiction. She's been in the business over 30 years and has created some very intensive specialized family programs for the whole family of an addicted client. Although she sees individuals personally, she has branched out to do consulting & training for Treatment Centers. She is kind and caring person.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

I like the script font, very nice
Like the light contemporary look
like the font and the art integrated in the font flourishes
Very nice but might be too light hearted for this client... although they might be willing to steer to a more lighted hearted approach that includes the elements they want
This is the clients current logo, please note my instructions for desired changes
I will include the clients existing logo along with some abstract heart samples the client sent for inspiration. Here are some additional notes related to their current logo which they do not like...
• She doesn't like the HEART, should be thinner or possibly extend or blend down between Kerry & Faudree. The lines can but do not need to connect. Keep the red color for the heart.
• She loves the BUTTERFLY. It represents her daughter who passed away. We can use something similar or a variation, but needs be clearly a butterfly
• She wants HEARTSMITH to be part of the logo. It can be subtle but needs to be there since her motto is “Getting to the Heart Counseling”. One idea would be to connect “HEARTSMITH” to the ‘tail’ of the abstract heart. Or perhaps the butterfuly could be connected there… just possible ideas.
• Kerry loves Purple. The GREEN coloring on her NAME does not print out vivid enough, although she is happy with the font styling. Perhaps the purple and green could be reversed with the butterfuly and ‘heartsmith’
