t4d got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a logo for delivery app for restaurants from existing website
Check out t4d's Logo design contest…
tap4delivery is a web application for restaurants and delivery services which allows customers to order food and drinks from smartphone and PC. We originally started with mobile ordering inside of restaurants, but expanded recently to cover also delivery and takeout service (off-premise). Update: Our old logo (https://tap4drink.de/static/tap4drink/img/logo.svg) doesn't fit that any more, so we are looking for a symbol which represents ordering of food and drinks through an app/website, regardless of whether that happens inside or outside of the restaurant/bar. Update #2: Our customers (e.g. the restaurants) are pretty heterogenous, they include everything from traditional pizza delivery through asian food to bars/pubs which don't offer any food at all (just drinks). Therefore a logo which contains a specific type of food will likely not be the best fit. Update #3: Also, we are not targeting the customers of the bars/restaurants, but the owners. Update #4: Welcome to the finals and thanks a lot for the effort, we're admiring each of you for the creativity. To make ist simpler (hopefully), we add some hints, also why we kept some of the proposals although we won't chose them. Criteria that are important for the final selection: I. woks as low-res-favicon (few details) (alternatively: easy-to-connect low res version comes along) II. Should work on both light and dark theme (or with 2 variants) III. Color scheme: We tried to stick to our white, orange & grey, some of you convinced us to consider yellow/black/white, too. Other colors like green, blue or red should not occur. IV. Symbols: preferred symbols: > wifi waves: (( )) or ))) we're undecisive: 2 is simpler (see I.) where 3 is more typical for Wifi (recognition) > optional if it fits to the idea: Try a delivery bag (does not work with all ideas, of course) - symbols excluded (please not): Specific food or drink (champagne boottle or noodle wok or egg, ...) We kept those examples for the design combination ideas. Maybe you want to know why we kept such different designs, please find shortly why, additional to our individual feedback we would like to share this with you: We left those with good ideas: #9 #42 #52 #50 and some that we like from aesthetic / creativity aspect. (like #2 and #6) #9 summarizes the business idea quite well but is not as clean as others. #29/36/37 are close to our existing CI although the mobile device is too much (isn't everything mobile and cloud?) #41 is close to the core of the idea #38 symbols and clarity #42 is stylish although in wrong colours #50 unique/creative yet simple #52 combines ideas, also "tap" included
We do already have a website and design (https://tap4delivery.de) but we need a logo which represents food delivery (like the logo on our other site, https://tap4drink.de, which represents ordering drinks in the restaurant).
