Know Your Food
Greens & Gills in an indoor, aquaponic farm in the City of Chicago. Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (growing plants in water). Our model thrives on the notion of Local, Sustainable, Natural food production methods. We sell our produce and fish to restaurants around the city and are looking to start selling our products (just the greens) at grocers. Our target audience is restaurants and also consumers. Our emphasis as a farm is on the greens we grow and not the fish. Our target consumer demographic is more female than male, age range 25-65. Our consumer lifestyle segmentations are known as the Purists and the Joneses. A "Purists" is somebody who lives a healthy lifestyle. They tend to go for more pure, whole, natural ingredients and foods. The "Joneses" are the hip, trendy, cool family on the block. Want to be the first word of mouth or recommendation. Like to try novel, new products.
Logo types to explore
Some Guidlines/Notes - - This is a redesign of an existing logo. We are looking for something new, fresh and different from the existing logo - ***PRIMARY USE OF THE LOGO WILL BE ON A FOOD PACKAGING LABEL FOR GROCERS AND RESTAURANTS. Packaging label contest to follow logo contest. - Logo will also be used on our website, business cards, menus, t-shirt and marketing materials - We don't want an image of fish in the logo - Our main communication attributes for the logo are: Farming, Urban and Premium/Artisan - We would like a logo that is transferable to other markets, so we don't want an image of Chicago's skyline, for example. If we started an operation in St. Louis down the road, we would then have to change the logo.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $299.
