About us

The N5 Symposium is a student conference for university students in Germany. The N5 stands for Germany's five new states, which joined West Germany after the Wall came down in 1990. The Symposium has no overarching theme or topic. Any pressing societal issue can be discussed in form of panel discussions or keynote speeches.

The focus should be on "N5". We'd love to explore designs that combine the two characters (think Tiger Woods' logo), though that is not a necessity. An add-on would be if the logo could somehow incorporate the rough outline of the five East German states (see attached) in some indirect form (think FedEx logo with the right arrow).

Overal logo reminds on neuron brain connections and its fitted into hexagonal/cube shape which is vrsatile enough to be used with horizontal or vertical layout and will look great standalone as avatar. Lettering is clear, bold and customised, and though only two colors are used, design look just as good in monochrome.
