Design a logo for a new code used in universities around the world

"koopmans" is a code used by computational physicists, materials scientists and other researchers. It was developed at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland.

The key idea behind "koopmans" is explained by the graph in "plot.svg". We start with something that looks like the orange curve (which is convex, and therefore bad) into the blue line (which is straight, and therefore good). Ignore the "Hartree-Fock" green curve. Typically, these two lines (one curved, one straight) start and end at the same point i.e. they form something resembling a capital "D" on its side. It would be nice if this could somehow be integrated into the logo. For example, I have mocked up one example logo (also attached), which tried to incorporate these two curves (one straight, one convex) into the "k" of "koopmans". There can even be chains of these "D"s, connected at the vertices (kind of like hemispherical bunting). However, the straight line must always be sloping downwards -- see d_element.svg for details. (Sorry to be pedantic, but it would be a very bad look if we had a logo that is scientifically incorrect!)
