Cartel's Cold Brew aims to provide quality cold brew coffee to the local market of distribution being Darwin, Northern Territory. The coffee craze has erupted in Darwin recently and I have noticed a increased demand for cold brew coffee, leading me to create this business. My target market is local Darwin citizens and people visiting Darwin, therefore, it is crucial the brand's logo is positioned at them in a creative way while also incorporating the cartel concept. Darwin is all about the laid-back lifestyle and we also have some of the best sunsets in the world which may be helpful to you in design process. Another thing everyone in Darwin understands are the crocodiles, we may not love them but we have to live with them. Most individuals consuming cold brew are between 20yrs and 35-40yrs old who are regular coffee buyers who look for quality local coffee without a ridiculous price tag. Cold brew coffee is currently only available to Darwin consumers at cafes where they must sit down and consume which does not work with everyone. Cartel's cold brew aims to provide the market with an on-the-go cold brew they can take to work or sit down and enjoy else-where.
The first type of cold brew I will be distributing will be black (no milk or flavouring). So, somewhere situated on the bottle I would like the word 'Black', keeping in mind the word should be easily interchangeable as I expand, e.g. 'Latte' or 'Vanilla'. As the name of the brand is Cartel's Cold Brew, I want to incorporate something to do with Pablo Escobar but it is also very important it is linked to Darwin (Northern Territory, Australia). As Darwin is a small place and both the coffee being used for the cold brew as well as the owner of the brand being from Darwin, this link is especially important, as we will be targeting Darwin locals or those visiting Darwin as our first consumer base. I've attached a file with a sketch of Pablo at a table with a bag of coffee saying 'Colombia to Darwin', this was my attempt to link reputation of the brand's namesake to the place of distribution. However, I'm more than happy and encourage you to experiment with this concept and am also open to abstract designs. I've already selected what I think is a unique bottle to differentiate my brand from the rest and have also attached a file of the bottle and a hand-bottle size comparison. The actual area where the logo will be placed is quite small (6cm tall), however, if you need to be flexible with this to incorporate your designs this is okay as long as it fits within the bottom 1/2 of the bottle. The coffee used for the cold brew is all locally roasted and brewed in partnership with a local coffee roaster. Goodluck, if you need anything my email is JarivanLingen@outlook.com.au.
