About us

Tall Pines Studios is a remote artist retreat on an island in Lake Temagami, Ontario, Canada. The Tall Pines Studio is an ideal place for musicians and writers to spend time away from the distractions of the city and everyday life. I mainly want bands to be able to come up to the cabin and work on new music: to record demos or full albums. The studio will be acoustically treated for professional audio recordings and the wood interior gives it a very 'live' sound. The Studio is built on the water in the 1950s and the surrounding forest is one of the oldest protected pine tree forests in Canada. The studio is constructed of big logs similar to a mountain ski resort. I would like to incorporate the log cabin, the surrounding lake, and old-growth pine trees into the branded logo.

C monogram logo for visual effects company

I love creating unique monograms so used this approach for Colony Visual Effects. As company is working on visual effects and making impossible stuff, possible, I decided to play with C, made with Escher-esque approach creating bending letter with impossible geometry theme. It works really great with subtle gradient giving this effect another dimension, but it works really great in single color as well. I took extra effort and created couple mockups showing this design used in various situations and in the end payed of.
