How jordanWL started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
What’s your company slogan?
Old houses are cool.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Yellmantown Digs renovates old houses in downtown Lexington, Ky. and gives them a modern feel while maintaining their classic character. Our target audience is upper-middle class, but someone who has the desire to be a part of the downtown Lexington “hipster” scene. Lexington has a great sense of community and would be considered a creative, coffee shop, craft brewery, artsy ecosystem. The houses will be around $300,000 and are very historic - built in the early 1900s usually. “Yellmantown” is the historic name of the part of town we are flipping homes in. “Digs” of course is just a cool way to say houses.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
We’d like to see a yellow logo on black, but also a variation that can be used when on a white background.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We like the worn out black here- almost like a chalkboard background. Also like the worn yellow
Love the feel of this
So we would like this “N” which also looks like a house and chimney incorporated into logo! Sorry we just have a tattoo to show you what we want!! Lol
The industry is really a blend of construction and real estate- rehabbing houses. We like the idea of having a logo with the name incorporated, by also a stand alone symbol that is a part of it and could be used alone. Also- it may be good to google downtown Lexington historical homes to get a feel of the homes. We envision a roof line or house of some sort as a part of the logo. Also, would like a variation of the logo that can be used on a white background.
